Women Who Inspire me Part 1.

Today I had lunch with one of my “coven”.

And this photo of her. Kate is of one of my witchiest besties.

She is the founder of this incredible venture and I couldn’t be prouder of her.

She is completely devoted to nature and a diligent and passionate steward of this land.

This snippet from the project she founded and tells you a wee bit more….

“Frome Valley Growing Project exists for land and for people. It is an intergenerational community that was founded on Permaculture Design Principles and developed as a response to the climate crisis. We aim to teach best practices for growing food, improving soil health, increasing biodiversity, promoting seed sovereignty and protecting heritage varieties of food.”

Watching someone’s dream become manifest is an absolute privilege.

And as someone who loves to inspire people if I feel the calling, having someone to inspire me is vital.

Let me tell you some of the reasons we are besties:

She eats crumble for breakfast

She prays to rivers

She talks to me via the crows

We love to sing together

She has fab taste in music

We go to the gym together and skip the classes and go barefoot to the stretch mats and do 30 mins of yoga & chatter.

She knows SO much about birds.

She has 2 boys so her real life is relatable

And why is she friends with me?

Well you’d have to ask her.

But at a guess…

I am steady and true.

I am fierce in my advocacy of her

I meet her depth of spirit with equal verve & devotional fire

I am impossibly cool (and so modest)

I love earl grey tea

I care & love deeply

There 4 of us in our circle of witches and I travel with them all daily. In my mind, in my heart, in my thoughts, in my prayers in my magic.

Each one of them is magic. Each one is deeply connected with nature and the elements. Each of them is incredibly special

So lunch at 🍲 #fromevalleygrowingproject in #winterbourne was the perfect way to celebrate one of my darling witch ride or dies.

We ate off the land. The food that Kate dreamt about growing. The dreams that I witnessed my beloved friend gradually bring into being.

It was a special day.

And I choose the best friends for sure.

Go out there and appreciate your inspirational friends today. Find the ones who appreciate your soul, who are committed to passion and purpose, those who live a life of #alignedaction and stand by their #values

They’re a rare breed and I’m grateful every day to know at least 3 of them.
