It’s time for a change surely?

I turned on the radio this morning and there was song on by the band Busted 🎸

I turned it up to give me good energy and boost the kids just before they went to school.

And then I listened to the lyrics 🤮

It’s about a teenage male who has a crush on his teacher.

There are references to her bending over and him spying on her in her home when she is alone.

“Oh f&&£ off” I say to the radio out loud and feel irritated at the female presenter for playing it.

The thing is I’m not even mildly irritated I feel sad and cross in equal measure.

This kid in the song is being disrespectful at best and predatory at worse.

And it’s one of the reasons I am raising my boys to be acutely aware of what it means to be a woman and how they can be allies as they grow into young men.

Let’s put it this way they started their menstrual education at 2 yrs of age.

I refuse to hide myself away in my own home in order to elevate others’ needs at all costs all the time.

And my neuro-divergent witchiness doesn’t allow me to remain passive.

If you know anything about tarot you might know that you can work out your life card by working out your life number (add up your whole date of birth) and apply it to the major arcana.

And it came as no surprise to me that my card was Justice.

The Justice card for me is about aligning with natural law, karmic law, collective liberation and social justice.

These themes weave through my life and work and those of my clients. They chime with the voice of my soul and the reason I was put on this planet.

So if you hear something today that cuts deeper than it “should”.

Please don’t shrug it off. Step into your values.

Express your discomfort. Acknowledge how you feel.

Your soul will love that.

Ensure that you validate yourself today.

Speak your mind. Don’t accept the icky actions of the status quo.

Align your actions, your activities, your spending with your work in the world.

You can thank me later. Doing this in your life might feel lonely at first but in time you will find your village and they will nourish you.
